"Large Fancy Room Filled With Crap" Tea Towel X David Shrigley
Third Drawer Down
A practical and fun way to dry the dishes, this tea towel can also be stretched onto a canvas at your local frame maker and double up as an affordable artwork for your home.
Fun fact: Large Fancy Room Filled With Crap was going to be the title for Shrigley's first retrospective at the Hayward Gallery in London until it was changed to Brain Activity.
Shrigley is a Glasgow-based artist whose drawing style evolved as a reaction to the seriousness of the art he was expected to produce at art school. He bases his work on intuition rather than long-winded theory. Shrigley is also a self-editor, ripping up whatever he thinks doesn't work into teeny-weeny pieces so that they can't be recycled. He holds onto the things that surprise him and make him laugh.
