French artist Paul Signac worked within the Neo-Impressionist school of painting. His love for sailing and the sea shines through in this view of the seaside town of Portrieux in Brittany, one of his favored haunts. The painting is currently part of the collection at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, England.
